Ashwagandha

Ok, I’m almost hitting 40 and I am pretty sure my pace of life should be slowing down a bit by now. My thirties have flashed by whilst my head is on a sviwel stick with flashes of work, kids, organising, traveling, packing, unpacking and Instagram. Please tell me it’s not just me! Oh yes, the dreaded time stealer of social media is included too nowadays.

Well I know it’s pretty common that having to juggle all we do as working mums can get a bit stressful. I was recently recommended to try this little treat which of course I bought within 10 seconds off amazon.

I love any tips on health promoting lotions or potions as you can imagine so I’ve been giving this a try and I wanted to share it.

Here’s what it is.......

Ashwagandha is one of the most powerful herbs in Ayurvedic healing and has been used since ancient times for a wide variety of conditions, the most well known being for its restorative benefits.

The use of the ayurvedic herb Ashwagandha can help:

• Promote a healthy response to everyday stress, over-work and fatigue

• Support normal levels of mental clarity, concentration and alertness

• Support normal levels of vigor and performance

• Improve memory and cognition

• Enhance energy and stamina

I know I’m not alone in needing some help with a few of these, life alone can be so stressful. Vitamins seem to be the subtle addition to the obvious diet and exercise. Unfortunately I’ve been slacking on both of these recently just because I’m living in a building site.

Anyway, back to the magic potion.

It’s a browny coloured liquid and I add it daily to a shot of water just to get it down. It isn’t a great taste but it’s not unpleasant either so it’s easy to take. I am quite early on in my trials but I’ve been working on my house recently as we are having a lot of building work done and I am managing a good 14 hour day of manual labour and taking the intermittent work emails in my stride. It seems to be doing the trick!

If you give it a try then let me know how you get on!
