One of the most common things I always get asked is which primers are best for oily skin. Everyone wants a flawless finish however for those with oily skin it can be tricky to maintain as the day goes on.
I'm so excited that the new music video by Nina Nesbitt is out, Loyal to Me, which I recently worked on!
This month Superdrug celebrated two years of their #shadesofbeauty campaign and I was thrilled to be invited along to the store to meet their guests and chat about B. Makeup too.
Whilst training people in make up it is often surprising to learn about habits that people have picked up and become accustomed to over time.
Here are some of my top makeup mistakes and how to correct them:
I had the most amazing time at the EMA’s no long ago. I saw so many people I work with, the atmosphere was incredible and to be there when it was hosted in London was a memory to last forever. I really do have the best job!
I really love Rodial skincare so I was thrilled to try their new Rose Gold range, what a lovely treat! The serum is designed to reshape and rejuvenate. I don’t often feel instant benefits from any serums and they can be heavy on my skin but this was different to what I am used to.
I having been looking for some nice makeup mirrors for ages and I recently found some! I know what I am looking for but even I found it difficult to make a decision so I thought I would share it.
I love the latest images out for Rita Ora’s Rimmel campaign which I was lucky enough to work on. The team were amazing, we literally had such a fun shoot. So everyone wants to know what the lip was I used so here it is!
This week with the students we've been working on getting in to work, going from learning makeup to how to turn that into skills when you are actually on a job. Makeup is one part of the job but teaching them how to transfer what they have learnt with me at the academy into working out a brief and meeting clients expectations
Natural brows are huge this season. It's all about the lightest way you can get definition and fullness.I had a little shop yesterday and came across the Illamasqua Brow Build.
If you haven't managed to get your hands on my collection or any of the fab new products from B. yet then they're currently on 3 for 2 at Superdrug online so go go go!
We like to hold masterclasses for all our graduates at CLMA so they have the opportunity to come back to the academy, learn new tips and be inspired.
My brush of the week is Hubby in honour of my gorgeous Husband and in time for Father's Day. The hubby brush may look like a foundation brush but this is a smaller than average
I've gone a bit brush crazy since I brought my brush range out and I have sooooo many! I love them all of course but I feel like some of them are just amazing and I need to shout about it! Roxie is my foundation brush!
I had a lovely day yesterday visiting some of the beauty journalists to talk about all the new B. Makeup and my collection. It's so nerve wracking creating your own range and having to present it to such experts who live and breathe makeup as much as me.
I have been asked a lot recently for natural makeup with the focus on a graphic liner. I think people are so over glam makeup that they want to go back to basics but still have a bit of something special and so the graphic liner works a trick.
